EFG Eurobank sees EUR 14.5m net profit from Romanian businesses

EFG Eurobank recorded operational revenues of 172 million euros, up 60 percent against the first nine months of 2006. Operational expenditures totaled 130 million euros, while the profit before taxes stood at 18 million euros.
The credit portfolio of Bancpost doubled in the third quarter of the year against the same period last year, to 2.8 billion euros. Deposits from clients stood at 1.2 billion euros, at the end of September.
EFG Eurobank reported assets totaling 4 billion euros in the first nine months of the year, in Romania. Bancpost expanded the range of provided services and opened three new businesses: Bancpost Fond de Pensii, EFG Eurolife Asigurari de Viata and EFG Eurolife Asigurari Generale.
