Shareholders will vote on this proposal on 18 May. EFG Eurobank, which controls 84.7 percent of Bancpost’s shares, was one of the lenders with high exposure in Romania that participated in the Vienna meeting with the International Monetary Fund, where it made a commitment to support its Romanian subsidiary with funds.
The share capital increase will be made through issuing 540,589 million new nominal ordinary shares, with a nominal value of RON 0.4 (€0.095) per share, plus an issuance premium of RON 0.15 (€0.035) per share. The shares will be offered to shareholders proportionally to their participation.
