Furthermore, the company plans to launch programs to increase the interest of students in the energy sector. “We are considering visits, presentations, scholarships, and attracting students to become involved in part-time work programs,” the company’s new Human Resource Manager, Ioan Bratean, said.

Bratean was appointed to this position in September. He previously worked for the Adecco Romania recruiting market leader.

The minimum wage of a skilled worker in the company is RON 935 (€240), while an engineer earns at least €350. “Compared to last year, personnel costs increased some 5 percent,” Bratean added.

Companies in the energy sector are facing an increasingly severe personnel shortage, especially as concerns specialists.
