Electricity exports rose 67.1 percent in the first seven months

"The primary resources totaled 24 million tons of oil equivalent (toe), 476,700 toe between January and July 2008. The internal production amounted to 14.2 million toe, 2.3 percent higher year-on-year, while imports rose to 9.8 million toe, 1.7 percent higher," INS data shows .

Primary energy and electricity resources increased by 1.5 percent and 8.7 percent respectively in H1 2008, while electricity exports advanced by 65.6 percent. In the first seven months of 2008, electricity resources rose to 38.6 billion KWh, 7.9 percent higher year-on-year.
