According to Radu Rasinar, General Manager of Eli Lilly Romania, the new product could generate sales worth €6.4 - €12.8 million. The company will launch at least six products in the coming 2-3 years.
Eli Lilly expects turnover worth €38 mln this year, 10 percent higher than in 2007. The Romanian market has a 3-4 percent ratio of total sales for Europe.
The company claims some 20 percent of the local diabetes drug market share, which yields 25 percent of Eli Lilly’s turnover.
