Silvana Borza, Human Resource Manager of Trotter Restaurant, says the Hotel Restaurant Cafe (HoReCa) industry is facing an acute personnel crisis, with the company finding it difficult to find dishwashers and junior chefs.

Most employees are students who need a job during their studies. The company invests some €800 a year to train a middle manager, and €3,300-€4,600 for a top manager. Employees receive Christmas and Easter bonuses, cars, mobile phones, private medical care services, and fitness club cards.
