“Mature employees are an alternative and available, so employers can cope with the personnel crisis, given that the labor force is increasingly older,” according to Irina Manolescu, CEO of DBM Career Solutions International, a human capital management company.
She said that an analysis carried out by DBM in the U.S. shows that an aging labor force will lead to career opportunities for employees over 55.
According to Irina Manolescu, mature employees are needed in almost all fields, from services to industries, but especially for specialist and management positions.
The advantages of choosing such employees are skills and knowledge acquired in other companies, as well as experience and connections. On the other hand, employers could be worried about higher health insurance and retirement costs for these employees.
