A working version of the document was obtained by the Mediafax news agency on sources and published on the website. The Ministry of Finance denies the correctness of the information presented in the document.
“We are constantly asking what the figures are, what the impact of certain applied measures is or what revenues were registered in the third quarters, but we received no reply and we have seen no document,” said Cristian Parvan, AOAR Secretary General.
Parvan said that employers associations have been requesting for over a month that the government initiates talks on a new set of anti-crisis measures, but “we are finding out from the media what measures the government is taking concerning us.”
Following the loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund and the modification of macroeconomic indicators, the authorities revised the Convergence Program for 2008-2011, drafted in January. The document will be approved by the government and sent to the European Commission.
