Energogonstructia’s business idle on growing construction market

The company’s turnover amounted to €53 million in 2007, only one percent higher year-on-year, while profit was worth €5.5 mln, compared to €5.3 mln in 2006.

For this year, however, the company is expecting 27 percent growth in business, up to €69.6 mln, due to several ongoing contracts and higher interest of investors in the various sectors in which Energoconstructia is operating, such as private buildings, industrial buildings, heating, water and sewage networks.

The company also plans to launch a real estate project of its own in southern Bucharest, in the Berceni area, where it owns a 130,000 square meter piece of land. The value of the project amounts to €100 mln. Work on the project was initially scheduled to begin last year, but was postponed. “We are 70 percent decided to develop the Berceni project,” Energoconstructia’s General Manager, Lucian Naidin, said.
