Energy sector contracts lead to a €90 mln increase in EnergoBit business

Last year, the group had contracts with national electricity transporter Transelectrica, national electricity distributer Electrica and its Electrica Transilvania Nord branch, but also with private investors. According to Vice President Pal Peter, the largest contract was that with the Polus Commercial Center in Cluj-Napoca.

EnergoBit officials estimate a turnover increase of some 20 percent in 2008, with the strategy including entering the local electricity market through an investment in wind energy. The company leased 67 hectares of in Tulcea, where it intends to build a wind energy park estimated to be worth €50 million. Construction will begin next year.
