ESPA to open first Eastern European location in Romania
The Silver Mountain residential project is worth €350 million. 

ESPA's local partner will be consulting company for the hotel industry Trend Hospitality, which is managing the local operations of Wyndham hotel chain. 

"The Romania-based spa is the first for which we have a contract in Eastern Europe. We also have projects in Croatia and Latvia, to be decided upon by the end of the year," ESPA's CEO, Susan Harmsworth, said. 

According to Trend Hospitality CEO Tinu Sebesanu, the Silver Mountain. The entire project will be built on a 700,000 smq and will include a luxury hotel, under the Radisson brand, a golf course, apartments, villas, cinema, several restaurants and a heliport. The spa will be built on a 2,400 square meters. The total investment in the project is not known yet. For the hotel alone, the invesment will amount to €70 million, Sebesanu said. 

ESPA is also considering three projects in Bucharest, according to Harmsworth.
The main players on the local spa market are Ana Aslan Health Spa and Eden Spa. Five star hotels in Romania also have spa centers.
