The total amount allocated by the EU for the 2007-2013 period for Romania is €223 million. The most significant investments will be made by large companies and companies in the energy sector, such as electricity and natural gas transporters.
The program to increase economic competitiveness will benefit from €3 billion in that period, and will focus on the development of small and medium-sized companies, research and development, information technology, and energy.
