Several companies will benefit from funds, including electricity transport operator Transelectrica, gas transport company Transgaz, oil transport company Petrotrans and others.
Romania will splash out 30 billion euros to invest in energy, including biofuel production, as power is the country's “strongest trump card” in the European Union, Economy and Finance minister Varujan Vosganian said at the end of May. Investments in the energy field will be carried out by 2020, the minister added, explaining that all types of power are included on the list.
