A beer sold near Zurich Stadium, where Romania’s soccer team had its first game on Monday against France at the European Championship, costs more than €3, four times more than a beer sold in Bucharest’s Constitution Square during the game (€0.69).
Food is also more expensive. Sausages in Zurich cost some €3, while their price in Bucharest is some €1.1.
However, according to the Swiss media, beer prices in Zurich and Bern are cheaper than those in Vienna, the city hosting the Euro 2008 finals.
The company set to reap best profits is Carlsberg, the main event sponsor.
