EWIR sold its Microsoft ERP division

The transaction constitutes a first step to concentrate the implementation of Microsoft’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions, made available by several local companies, and could be the first of several to take place next year, Robert Komartin, Executive Manager of LLP Bucharest, told Business Standard.

The takeover is expected to consolidate LLP’s Dynamics’s implementing base, while EWIR continues to focus on outsourcing, its main activity.

As part of this transaction, LLP Bucharest took over from EWIR an analysis and implemention team, databases of current clients, including those whose projects are in the process of implementation, and targeted clients.

One year ago, Dynamics took the place of the Navision brand, now one of Microsoft’s ERP and customer relationship manage

ment (CRM) solutions. In Romania, 160 clients use the Dynamics system, 30 belonging to LLP and 25 to EWIR.

“We began negotiations in March 2007 to consolidate our business without going through the prolonged organic growth process. We have talked to other Dynamics partners, in addition to EWIR, but this is the company with whom we signed the first transaction,” said Robert Komartin.

LLP Bucharest, the local subsidiary of LLP Group, registered a 46 percent year-on-year rise in net sales, up to €1.2 million in the first half of 2007. LLP’s new clients include oil giant Petrom, furniture retailer Ikea Romania, television station Antena 1, and pharmaceutical producer Gedeon Richter. The company has implemented more than 20 ERP solutions in the past 12 years.
