Ex-minister: Romania unable to build more than 54 km of highways next year

Romania only has the capacity to build 54 km of highways in 2009 and a total 836 km of highways in the next four years, according to former Transportation Minister Radu Berceanu. He was introducing the infrastructure segment of his Democratic-Liberal Party's governing program for 2009-2012. 

"If we brought 100 highway companies from all over Europe, we still could not do more, because those companies don't come up with their own workers, they have to find them here and it takes time," he explained. (Newsin)
