The shares of BRD, Romania’s largest listed bank, stagnated yesterday at the close of the stock exchange session, after having advanced 1 percent earlier. The month of September has been very hard on the bank’s shares, with losses of 32.3 percent of their value throughout the month.
The financial investment company SIF Banat-Crisana has also begun acquiring BRD shares worth RON 3.94 million (over €1 million). According to recent reports, the five financial investment companies together own over 25.26 percent of the bank’s share capital.
BVB issued information to the effect that insiders of companies listed on BVB have taken advantage of recent massive slides buying from the stock exchange. Ilie Carabulea, main shareholder of Banca Comerciala Carpatica (BCC) acquired 2.27 million BCC shares in the 1-30 September period, worth some €125,000.
