The total value of the Policolor transactions amounted to €27.6 million, while the remaining foreign investments in shares on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) amounted to a mere €30 million. Sales by foreign investors totaled €32.3 million.
The seller of Policolor stock was Romanian-American Enterprise Fund (RAEF), while buyers were other foreign funds, RC2 and RIF.
“Investment funds are not buying many Romanian shares, because they are generally not buying shares at this time. When they do return to buying shares, they will not come to Romania first, even if shares are much cheaper than one year ago, because the risk is seen to be higher,” said Bogdan Campineanu, Raiffeisen Capital&Investment’s Manager for Capital Markets.
