As such, EximBank will offer SME clients guarantees to obtain a loan from Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, to complement guarantees presented by economic operators to benefit from a loan, to cover up to 80 percent of its value.

The insurance is intended for Romanian exporters who are targeting emerging markets. EximBank policies cover up to 85 percent of the risk of export contracts not being honored due to lack of payment. “Based on agreements between EximBank and commercial banks, the costs of a lei-denominated loan will be more competitive and be to the advantage of the economic agent,” said EximBank President and General Manager, Carmen Radu.

EximBank will supply Intesa Sanpaolo clients with information about shareholders, credit limit, financial results of potential business partners, and economic and business conditions in other countries.
