“Attracting new clients is as important as gaining the loyalty of existing ones, and also monitoring the evolution of certain fields generating transfers, and anticipating changes that will occur,” the company official told Business Standard.
Patrascanu said that some enterprises will slow their business pace, such as those in the financial-banking sector, or suspend their activity, while others will be subject to unprecedented development, such as law firms.
As far as the courier market is concerned, Patrascanu said that the appetite of investors could target small courier service providers, because all major acquisitions have already taken place. “It is unlikely that new companies will enter the market. The conditions are very unfavorable. If so far the necessary initial investment amounted to some €1 million, now it will take a much more significant investment,” the company official said.
Patrascanu expects FAN Courier to maintain its leading position on the domestic market in 2009. The company’s turnover exceeded €40 million last year, and company officials forecast this will exceed €45 mln by year-end.
