FCC requests an additional €100 million for Vidin-Calafat bridge

The announcement was made on Bulgarian national TV station, quoting a government official. The construction has already been delayed by 3-4 months, due to problems with the land, the geological expertise, and modifications of the initial design.

FCC originally priced the building of the 1,971 meter bridge at €225.6 mln, with completion at the end of 2010. The Bulgarian Minister of Transports, Petar Mutafchiev, repeatedly indicated that the construction company will make up the delay and that the project will be completed on time. (NewsIn)
