“I believe that this growth is part of our usual growth trend, more than 10 percentage points compared to average market growth,” the group’s General Manager, Radu George, told Business Standard.
The company’s turnover rose some eight times in the past seven years, both through organic development and acquisitions.
Founded in 1991 by Romania’s richest woman, Anca Vlad, Fildas is one of the few top pharma companies whose management is exclusively Romanian. This year, the company has invested €12.5 mln to build new storage facilities in the cities of Craiova, Sibiu and Timisoara, and to modernize its storage facility in Bucharest. Fildas also purchased 40 pharmacies, thus expanding its Catena retail network to 204 units.
