First investment strategies for pensions funds

Only eight of the 14 funds invested on Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB). Generali, the only fund with high risk, had a 23 percent participation on the capital market. BRD invested 11.83 percent of funds on foreign markets and 0.1 percent on derivatives market. Aviva was the only fund to invest in mutual funds (municipal bonds), where it placed 5 percent of funds. Four funds bought corporate shares.

ING, BT Aegon, AIG and OTP, the funds with positive yields after the first contributions, did not place contributions in shares. ING and OTP had two of the largest state titles packages, while AIG placed all received contributions in shares.
