Most representatives of state-owned companies told Business Standard that this measure cannot be applied in their institutions, due to the specific activity these are developing.
“We have fixed jobs and cannot take such a measure. There is a standard in the subway’s circulation. We are not an institution that can work with eight people instead of ten, for example. We have fixed hours and a circulation chart,” the General Manager of Metrorex, Gheorghe Udriste, said. The same justification was offered by Razvan Laurentiu Stoica, the General Manager of the CFR Calatori railway company.
State Secretary with the Ministry of Health, Aurel Nechita, said that to send health sector employees on an unpaid holiday is a measure that can be applied only in the case of public clerks. “My opinion is that it cannot be applied in emergency medicine; to ensure saving people in critical condition you cannot send people on holiday. I do not see how [this measure] will be applied in the health sector,” Nechita said.
