First Romanian-produced cytostatic drug by Actavis approved in the U.S.

Actavis is the largest Romanian exporter of drugs.

“Launching this product means the expansion of Actavis’ portfolio to injectable drugs. Actavis is determined to enter the hospital segment and currently has some 300 applications pending approval for injectable drugs worldwide,” said Doug Boothe, Actavis Executive President for the U.S.

The Romanian division of Actavis is the group’s center for excellence, specialized in developing and producing cancer drugs, he added.
