COMCM owns 240,000 square meters in Constanta with Scut Constanta, with which it plans to merge.
“The cement mills cannot remain in the city, so we must relocate our activity. First we must choose our location closer to the place where we carry out our activities,” said Constantin Fratila, Vice Chairman of COMCM’s Board of Directors, and one of the company’s main shareholders.
Fratila added that the land will be used to develop transit tourism, an area in which COMCM is presently involved. “We have already modernized three hostels, where we offer accommodation for companies and workers who are active in Constanta, and we also have a hotel in Constanta,” said the company’s shareholder. He specified that they are not planning to concentrate too much on tourism, as construction remains the company’s main area of activity.
