Brokers say that foreign investors back in the black is one of the signs that better times are ahead on the stock exchange in the coming months.
“The fact that foreign acquisitions are net confirms that May and June will be subject to a come-back in terms of trading volumes. I do not think that we will return to daily volumes of €6-7 million or see new lows in this sense in the months ahead,” said Laurentiu Floroiu, Trading Director for EFG Eurobank Securities brokerage company.
Foreigners acquired €54.6 mln worth of shares in April, and constitute the top acquisitions since the end of January. Top highs last month were registered by Petrom and Banca Romana de Dezvoltarea (BRD) shares, which are preferred by foreign investors.
