Foreign investors placed €1.6 bln in developing companies in Romania in 2007

Foreign direct investments (FDI) amounted to €7.25 billion last year. Some €3.7 billion (51 percent of the total FDI) were net loans from foreign investors. A further 31 percent, or €2.2 billion, were capital participations, while the remainder €1.33 billion (18 percent) were reinvested net earnings, according to BNR data.
