Foreign players raise placements on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in February

Sales of nonresidents totalized 201.46 million lei in February. Investors from Luxembourg and UK cumulated the most. Shares bought by players from Luxembourg stood at 41.39 million lei (19.65 percent of total acquisitions). They also bought bonds worth 2.67 million lei.

British investors bought shares of 34.14 million lei and sold a volume of 76.12 million lei (37.78 percent of total share liquidations).

Greeks and Americans bought shares of 22.65 million lei, respectively 19 million lei. The volumes sold by the U.S. investors stood at 15.52 million lei. Austrians liquidated shares worth 20.39 million lei in February.

Capital inflows on the BSE stood at 120.70 million lei in February while outflows totalized 118.52 million lei.

Foreign investors hit the road from the bourse's door in January with sales of 467.3 million lei and buyings of only 273.5 million lei.
