The firm's first client is the Rompetrol Group. Emilia Ciucan, Managing Partner at Ciucan & Associates, told Business Standard that the new law firm has other clients, including international banks and real estate companies.
"The deal with Rompetrol was to finish all the projects we were involved in, and then leave. On September 1, we registered our office with the Bar Association, and on October 1 we moved into the new headquarters," said Ciucan. Ciucan & Associates is currently negotiating with three law firms in England to establish a partnership. "We want an association in the event an opinion on British law is needed," said Ciucan.
Ciucan & Associates is also looking to hire another six experienced lawyers.
The law firm's managing partner indicated that based on a "pessimistic scenario” turnover will not exceed €300,000" in the first year of operations.
