The increase is due to a trend for buying incorporated household appliances for homes part of recently finalized real estate projects, according to the company’s General Manager, Valeriu Cobaschi.
Franke officials target a 30 percent share of the market for 2007. The company has been on the local market since 1998.
Franke household appliances are sold through a network of showrooms, hypermarkets and several partner stores. Two of these stores, Minerva Com Timisoara and the Mobexpert group, both furniture retailers, sold Franke products worth €1 mln each in the first nine months of 2007.
Some 95 percent of Franke products are manufactured in Italy, while the remainder is imported from Scotland, Germany, and Switzerland.
