The company has already identified the enterprises that it wants to take over – a security service company and an electronic security enterprise. The transactions are estimated to be finalized by October. Negotiations were initiated in May 2009.

“These two investments, which we hope to recover in some three years, will bring us an addition of 3,000-4,000 employees. Also, this fall we want to found a holding, to include most of the three existing companies and the three future ones,” the company’s Country Manager, Liviu Târşea, said. The enterprise plans to create a division specialized on ATM administration in August.

G4S is expecting a 30 percent increase in turnover this year, to RON 640 million (€113 mln) due to a rise in the share of contracts with the state and the expansion of its client portfolio, the company official added.

Contracts with the state, which made up some 24 percent of the company’s business, are to amount to some 35 percent this year, he said.
“The crisis is affecting this sector too in 2009, we may miss the target by some 10 percent. The business environment is unpredictable at present, it is difficult to make an accurate estimate,” Târşea said.
