The partnership between the two banks is aimed at providing information to Romanian exporters to limit the risks associated with international transactions.
The two lenders will collaborate to strengthen bilateral trade, Eximbank president for Romania Carmen Radu said.
Romanian companies will be able to export products to Russia even if the importer does not have sufficient cash to pay for the merchandise as Gazprombank will grant credits to cover the shortfall.
Gazprombank was established in 1990 and is among the five top lenders in central and eastern Europe with assets of 43 billion U.S. dollars and a share capital of 3.5 billion U.S. dollars.
