The country’s GDP soared 8.9 percent in last year’s first nine months, which translates into an annual increase of 8.2 percent in the first quarter, of 9.3 percent in Q2, and of 9.1 percent in Q3.
Analysts forecast a sharp slowdown of Romania’s economy, as of the last half of 2008, and say that the financial and economic crisis is the main responsible for this situation.
