Carmen Neagu added that GE hopes to sign the agreement with Good Energies and Continental Wind Partner to deliver eolian turbines. The two companies announced they have selected GE Energy in a contract worth €400 million.
Contracts on the local electricity market will be one of the main growth engines for GE in Romania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova, along with the medical equipment market and environmental projects.
GE sales in Romania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova totaled $400 million in 2007, double year-on-year.
