Genpact Romania continues to recruit, albeit at a slower pace than in previous years, some 30 persons per month, compared to 70-80 and even 100 monthly in 2008.

“Demand for outsourcing services is growing, but clients are more sophisticated and their requests are more complex. Contracts are no longer signed based on the number of employees involved in the process, but rather on provided service and improvement brought to the client’s processes,” Ilie added.

Personnel turnover within the company declined significantly, but was also fueled by layoffs due to lack of performance, especially for entry-level positions. “Turnover dropped, especially at the management and support function levels, where there are not a lot of opportunities on the market,” the company official indicated.
