The Graffiti/BBDO full service advertising agency, media agency Media Direction and integrated marketing agency Proximity are part of the Graffiti/BBDO group. In 2006, the three companies had a total cash flow of €57.4 mln, according to data provided by the group and the Finance and Economy Ministry. “Our goal is a 10 percent rise in turnover, due to an increase in efficiency and profitability,” Catalina Cernica told Business Standard.
Thus, the group is poised to have €63-66 mln worth of business this year. The advertising agency posted more than €20 mln in turnover in 2006, almost 50 percent higher year-on-year. In 2005, the company’s net sales amounted to €13.4 mln. Media Direction had business worth €35.5 mln, ranking second in the top of local media agencies in terms of turnover.
Last year, the media market rose some 30 percent year-on-year, while this year’s increase is estimated to 35 percent. The direct marketing agency posted net sales worth €1.8 mln, idle year-on-year.
Graffiti/BBDO underwent a reorganization process in 2006. The former General Manager of the agency, Dan Moraru, took charge of the entire group’s business and Catalina Cernica took over the management of the advertising agency. She was already working for nine years within Graffiti/BBDO.
