Greece is again this year one of the top three destinations preferred by Romanians, together with Turkey and Bulgaria. Operators said that the explanation includes the quality-price ratio, the relatively small distance from Romania, and the way Romanians choose to spend their summer holidays.
A new destination, which Romanians have a growing interest for, is Croatia, according to Lucia Morariu, General Manager of the Eximtur operator.
All operators came to the fair with discounts ranging between 5-15 percent, valid by the end of this week. The price for a seven-day holiday at a three-star hotel in Turkey is €220 per person, but triples in season peak, while that of one week in Bulgaria starts at €250-280 but can also amount to €400.
