Grestincom's plate exports to reach €100 mln annually

Based on the five-year deal, the U.S. company will purchase products worth €8 million per month, or €94 mln per year, according to Grestincom's owner, Severus Batog. He declined to provide the name of the U.S. company. 

Grestincom will launch a plate painting line this September, following an investment worth €20 mln. 

In the first three months of 2008, the company posted €1.2 mln in business, 20 percent higher year-on-year. "The growth rate was rather good, given the bad weather in the first quarter," Batog said. 

The company was founded in 2000 and has operations in production, transportation and commerce of metallurgy products. Grestincom foresees €30 million worth of business in 2008, 30 percent higher year-on-year. 

Its main competitors on the metal profiles market are ArcelorMittal Construction, Megaprofil, Lindab, and Ruukki.
