The restructuring process involves cost cuts that could affect employee salaries, the number of employees, and technical equipment.
GSP TV has already paid royalties for League 1 soccer games until June, and the station will not be closed before that time. These royalties were paid with the RCS&RDS cable TV operator.
TV station management sources declined to comment on the information obtained by Business Standard. “For the time being, we are operating normally. I cannot either confirm or deny the information regarding the station’s closure,” sources said.
Other sources within the Intact group said that the decision to lower costs was made at a “very high” level, and was to be announced to GSP TV employees yesterday.
