GED Capital last year acquired the travel agency for some €5-10 mln. “GED plans to make serious investments in this field, to develop operations on the travel segment. They approached us first, and we had a chance for serious discussions,” Demetriade said. He added that the fund decided to maintain the company’s structure, will not interfere with the executive management, and be involved only in drafting strategic plans.
For this year, the company estimates some €55 mln worth of business, 19 percent higher than in 2007. Demetriade said some 80 percent of the business is generated by the corporate segment.
The company’s main competitors are Eximtur, Marshal Turism, Aerotravel, Paralela 45 and J’Info Tours.
