Hardcopy market, 250,000 units in Q1

Sales of multifunctional equipment yielded record values for the Romanian hardcopy market in the first quarter in 2008. According to latest data from the International Data Corporation (IDC) IT&C research and advisory company, the total sales volume amounted to some 250,000 units, 24 percent higher year-on-tear. “Public auctions and offers prior to the Easter holidays, mostly targeting home users – especially for photo printers and telecom and internet provider promotions, which included multifunctional equipment, were the growth engines on the market in this quarter,” said Dana Samson, Research Analyst, IDC Romania.
