Henkel Romania ranks first among Henkel Central Eastern Europe subsidiaries, in terms of growth rate. Ukraine ranks second, with 35 percent growth, followed by Russia, with a 31 percent increase in business.
Henkel has three local divisions - cleaning products, cosmetics and adhesives - and more than 30 products in its portfolio. The company has so far invested €30 mln in Romanian production capacities. Last October, the company opened a new adhesives factory in the northern city of Campia Turzii, in Cluj County, whose annual production capacity is 200,000 tons.
Henkel’s main competitors on the Romanian market are Procter&Gamble, Unilever, Beiersdorf, Colgate Palmolive, L’Oreal and Interstar Chim, on the non-food consumer goods market.
