“IT salaries are now over the limit. We are expecting investments in the Romanian IT industry to end in the near future, with major companies opting for markets with less expensive work forces,” added Marin.
Omnilogic acquired the Software Development&Consulting (SDC) system integrator in 2006, with its 50 IT specialists, in order to expand its services. SDC forecasts sales this year worth $12-14 million (€8.8-10.3 mln), up over 100 percent year-on-year. Omnilogic representatives estimate that SDC’s revenue in 2011 will exceed $40 million (€29.4 mln). Our objective for this year is based on an increase in services. We estimate that in 2008, IT services by SDC will increase 380 percent. In the coming years, we are expecting a rise in turnover similar to that in past years, and our objective is for SDC to reach $40-50 million in 2011,” said Mihai Popescu, SDC’s General Manager.
Other companies operating on the Romanian system integration market are IBM, HP, Forte Siemens Services, Net Consulting or Romsys.
