Hit Mail ended financial year 2006 with a turnover of €4.4 million, and the company forecast growth of up to €6 million for this year. The group’s market share is some 20-25 percent, according to Seitan’s estimations. “Hit Mail objectives for 2007 include the inauguration of a new logistics center in Bucharest, and in 2008 we intend to develop the online, interactive, and SMS segments, which have proven to bring return of investment for our clients,” explained Seitan. The current direct marketing market context includes breaking away from Romania’s postal services, whose prices went up by 60 percent, and orienting budgets towards other media, such as online and interactive direct marketing. These tendencies translate for each player into business growth.
At Hit Mail, the share of online direct marketing (including mobile marketing) for 2007 represents some 25 percent of total requested services, compared to 15 percent in 2006. Another trend on the market is the strengthening of large players on the market, to the detriment of “second rate” companies who are unable to keep up with logistics and technology investments required by the market.
Hit Mail clients currently come from all industries. “We have noticed an increased use of direct marketing this year in fields such as finances (banks, insurance, private pensions) and large retailers. Furthermore, industrial companies started to grasp the importance of business to business direct marketing and have allocated significant budgets,” said the company’s President.
Hit Mail was established in 1997, and opened its first office outside the country, in Sofia, in 2005.
