The cement producer posted revenues totaling 290 million euros in 2007, up against the 220 million euros seen the previous year. The company this year wants to expand in Romania as it voiced plans for boosting production by 25 percent.

Holcim Romania last year invested 123 million euros in several projects concerning the upgrade of the production equipments, environment protection and social projects. The company’s gross profit stood at 207 million euros in 2006, up 41 percent against 2005.

Lafarge Romania, the unit of the world's biggest cement maker Lafarge SA, in 2006 posted total revenues exceeding 260 million euros.
