Hourly labor cost index up 22 percent

The main components of the hourly index are salary (direct) expenses and non salary (indirect) expenses. Compared to Q1, extraction industry registered a 32.68 percent increase in the hourly labor cost index, the growth was 25.5 percent in the energy, gas and water sectors, the index rose 16.77 percent in the fields of transportation, storage and communications, while health and social security registered a 13.13 percent increase in the index. 

On the other hand, the hourly labor cost index declined in public administration (0.8 percent) and education (0.76 percent).
