Guvernul maghiar cauta un consilier de privatizare pentru vanzarea invited Friday a one-round invitation-only tender to find a privatization adviser on the sale of its remaining stake in Hungarian oil and gas company MOL Magyar Olaj- es Gazipari Rt. (MOL.BU).
The government holds 1,893,476 MOL shares, or a 1.76% stake, which is worth about 36.45 billion forints ($169.5 million) at current market value of HUF19,250 a share.
Hungary's state privatization agency APV Rt. is seeking the adviser to advise and manage the sale, APV said in paid advertisement in several daily papers.
It's unclear what way the upcoming privatization will be carried out, based on the announcement. It could take place in one or several stages, with the first stage a public offer to domestic retail investors, the APV said. But the sale could also take the form of a stock exchange transaction, prior to or replacing the public offer, the APV added.
