IBM intends to reach some 2,500 employees locally in 2009, more than double compared to the end of 2007, when the company had some 1,000 on its payroll.
“I believe that we have reached a level at which we will stay for a long time, and I do not think we will make it to the salary levels of western countries, at least in the foreseeable future. In the past, we had major growth, which was based on high demand, and if this no longer exists, salary growth will drop,” according to a declaration for Business Standard by Michael Dietz, Vice President of Global Delivery and Global Delivery Center Eastern Europe Manager.
