“The server market has a low ratio [in the overall market], of some 2 percent, both in terms of value and volume, so it is normal that there is a significant advance. The ratio of this segment is not very large on other markets either, but so far we have an imbalance in terms of servers sold and the total number of PCs,” said IDC Romania Analyst Diana Preda. “There is a significant need of servers on a market that is just now beginning to develop and that will keep growing,” Preda added.
Compared to the second quarter in 2007, the volume of server sales rose 49.7 percent. The ratio of servers on the total PC market is 2.3 percent in volume and 10.1 percent in terms of value.
